The Wellington
The Wellington started in December 2004, realising a 10-year dream for landlord Nigel Barker. Having moved to Birmingham from Derby to run Barton’s Arms at Aston Nige was unhappy with the lack of availability and choice of real ales in the city centre and promised, to open a real ale free house one day. At Wellington its main mission is to sell a large range of interesting, well kept real ales. They also have a range of quality lagers and ciders along with foreign bottled beers.
Its range of Scotch whiskeys on the ground floor is amazing whilst the first-floor bar has a huge range of whiskeys from around the world. They have recently introduced a range of specialty gins and rums.

The staff are welcoming and friendly, whilst maintaining a very professional work ethic. The drinks are always excellent and varied, and the food is second to none – especially the brownie omg.” – Tom Q.
The Charlie Hall
The Charlie Hall has been supporting microbreweries of real ale since they opened the doors of its first pub in 1979, working with local brewers up and down the country to put local beers on the pumps. Wetherspoon’s pubs are synonymous with real ale and the resulting awards and recognition received are a testament to the company’s passion for serving a great pint.
Its staff are committed to serving customers the perfect pint of real ale and, with almost 50 million pints poured annually, that is no mean feat. It takes a lot of training, effort, and dedication to keep real ale in top condition and its staff is the best in the business.

Nortons Digbeth
Nortons Digbeth got the best Guinness in Brum, but besides that, they have a wide range of cask, keg and bottled beers from established brands and independent breweries. They are all about quality products and quality service. That is why they have a commitment to keeping at least two lines of cask and keg dedicated to local and Irish beers. They built their cellar completely from scratch, so they can maintain the perfect temperature, for the perfect serve.
Nortons Digbeth is built by friends and family. Nortons was the inspiration of Peter Connolly, but this absolute madness would not have happened without the trust and backing of his mother Anna, and countless friends and family who chipped in to build and eventually run the place.
