The Lighthouse

The Lighthouse is considered as Scotland’s Centre for Design and Architecture and houses several areas like visitor centre, events venue and exhibition space. Mackintosh House
Mackintosh House is a reassembled house inspired after the original Glasgow home of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, a Scottish architect, designer and artist and his artist wife, Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh. Using the original fixtures from their house that was previously demolished, they work on reconstructing it to reflect the same image as that of the original one.
Currently, it is housing some of the important collections of the works of both husband and wife. It is also decorated with the Mackintoshes’ own furniture, adding a touch of authenticity to the whole place. Offering free entrance to the place, they are open from 10 AM to 4 PM from Tuesdays to Saturdays and from 11 AM to 4 PM on Sundays.

Temple Gasworks
Temple Gasworks is a gas holding plant that was originally made in 1871. Built to produce light and heat throughout the whole of Glasgow, it was closed in 1968 and later on decommissioned.
