Corsica Studios is an art and music venue located in two railway arches in Elephant and Castle. With a stripped-back interior and a reputation for being a hidden underground gem, they have become an essential destination within London’s vital club scene. Tramp is founded by Oscar Lerman, Bill Ofner, and Johnny Gold, it was named from an unlikely source. It was whilst watching a documentary about Charlie Chaplin’s famous character, The Little Tramp, when the narrator remarked that, “this was the greatest Tramp of all”. The statement struck a chord with the founders and provided their venue with an excellent name. The discreet entrance has seen the comings and goings of everyone from the Beatles and Frank Sinatra, a multitude of rock gods and goddesses, the world’s royalty, Hollywood’s major players, and the highest echelons of international business and society. Often raucous and always fun, it’s no surprise that it became London’s favourite place to misbehave.
