Kelvingrove Park is an 85 acre of land that is set on the banks of River Kelvin. A classic example of a Victorian park, it also houses the renowned Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. Offering different facilities to all of its visitors like the bandstand, bowling greens, tennis courts, children’s play areas, cafe and skateboard park, you can certainly find a fun activity that you can enjoy with your family and friends.

The park is open all the time so you can drop by anytime you want. You can go to a picnic here or enjoy a long walk with your dog. Pollok Country Park is one of the largest parks in Glasgow spanning around 360 acres of land. The only country park in Glasgow. it is known for its wonderful view and amazing running ad walking trails. Consisted of both woodlands and gardens, this place is surely a haven for those people who wants some quiet time and feel a bit closer to nature.

This park also houses the Burrell Collection, named after its collector, Sir William Burrell. Aside from this museum, you would also enjoy their many facilities such as walled gardens, play park, wildlife garden, picnic areas, riverside walks and many others. The park itself is open all the time but the facilities inside may be subjected to their own opening times so better check them prior to your visit.

Mugdock Country Park covers 260 hectares of area, this country park is a perfect venue for outdoor learning and educational tour with the many wildlife that you can watch and experience. With its wonderful green spaces, you would certainly enjoy different nature activities here with your friend and families like walking, cycling, trails and playparks.

They have many open spaces where you and your kids can explore and do a lot of play and fun activities. They also have venues for hire for your special occasions like birthdays and weddings and they also have 2 nice barbecue sites where you can a small get-together. Glasgow Green is the oldest city park in Glasgow covering around 55 hectares of land area. Awarded a Green Flag in 2011, it certainly passes the national standard for its quality and green spaces. A historic site originally used for sheep and cattle grazing, this place now offers many wonderful experiences like tours and sightseeing, walking and biking and other fun stuff.

Located inside the park is also the People’s Palace and Winter Gardens and Glasgow Green Football Centre. A stunning place that is open all the time, find time to visit this amazing place and enjoy the wonderful facilities that they have and walk down history lane with its colourful history and rich tales.

Calderglen Country Park

Calderglen Country Park is one of the best, well-known tourist attractions that are popular for both children and adults. Housing a children’s zoo, nature trails and adventure play area, you would certainly enjoy the different activities that they have that would make you feel closer to nature and learn more about it. They also have an 18-hole golf course where you can enjoy a wonderful tee time.

Their zoo and conservatory are open from 10 AM to 5:50 PM daily with the last entry at 5 PM. Entrance to the zoo is £1.80 for adults, £.90 for children and free for all kids below 3 years of age. Enjoy now the scenic view that they have and experience animals closer by visiting this amazing park.
