The Rising Sun Countryside Centre is a nature reserve area spanning 162 hectares of greenery that you would certainly love to see. Chase Park
Chase Park consists of a large area of grassland that is located in the heart of Whickham. This area is also formerly known as Whickham house which is the private estate of Whickham Chase and is home to several industrialists and merchants in the 1800s. Springfield Park

Silverlink Biodiversity Park
Silverlink Biodiversity Park stretched around 18 hectares of land that is consisted of Silverlink Biodiversity Park and West Allotment Pond. Declared in 2005 as a local nature reserve, this area is surrounded by woodland, wetland, grassland, scrub, hedgerow and rock habitats. It is also a home to a diverse ecosystem and wildlife where you can see a population of different wild animals.
